A letter from the Principal
We are proud to call St. Peter Academy home, as it has been recognized as one of the finest parochial grammar schools in Bergen County since it was established as a Catholic elementary school by the Sisters of Lucy Filippini in 1952. Since that time, the school has received its share of awards and accolades. The most recent was earning the prestigious Blue Ribbon from the United States Department of Education (US DOE).
St. Peter Academy has now, as in the past, hosted a cadre of dedicated and knowledgeable teachers. Our educators offer a well-balanced student experience of traditional elementary studies seasoned with valuable religious experiences, technology applications, science and engineering exploration, and real-world problem-solving.
St. Peter Academy is a true melting pot of cultures, traditions, and languages. That recipe creates a beautiful diverse environment that is celebrated throughout the school year, culminating in our Heritage Day celebration each spring.
The motto of the academy is Providing the Keys to a Bright Future and that belief provides the academic foundation of the school. Students are challenged at their current academic level and motivated to progress in their studies. We encourage them to leave their comfort zones and experience educational and social growth. This approach is one reason why the school has been recognized as “exemplary” by the U.S. DOE.
We welcome you to call us, to visit our school and experience first-hand the truly unique environment we have created at St. Peter Academy.
