St. Peter Academy is one of the finest schools in Bergen County. In 2017, we were recognized by the U.S. Department of Education as a National Blue Ribbon School. With over 3500 schools in New Jersey, St. Peter Academy was one of only 107 at the time to earn this distinguished title. As a National Blue Ribbon school, the St. Peter Academy administration, teachers, and staff at St. Peter Academy are noted as visionaries, innovators, and leaders. This coveted award affirms the hard work of our educators, families, and community in creating a safe and welcoming school so that allows our children to successfully master challenging and engaging content. In addition to the Blue Ribbon acknowledgement, St. Peter Academy has also earned accreditation from the Middle States Association, an external and objective validation of the Academy’s quality and student achievement.
St. Peter Academy is involved in the Archdiocese of Newark ongoing curriculum mapping project that will result in the development of K-12 core maps in each subject. This process has been implemented within the Archdiocese to ensure that a consistent, clearly articulated curriculum infused with Gospel values is being provided to all students in our schools. In developing the entire person, St. Peter Academy students learn outside the classroom, as well. Annual trips to the United States Military Academy at West Point, United Nations and other key locations throughout New Jersey and the metropolitan New York create avenues for our children to grow from real-world experiences. For a well-rounded education, we also participate in Law Enforcement Against Drugs (L.E.A.D.) and similar programs.
Our learning environment prepares our students for success. Historically, 100% of our students were accepted by the number one high school of their choice. Alumni excel in high schools throughout Bergen County and New York, including:
