Fourth Grade Summer Reading
Please read two fiction books of your choice. For each book, create a poster that illustrates the most important parts of the story. Use a large sheet of construction paper and include the book title and author of the book. Make the posters colorful and interesting because you will present them to the class in September. You may choose from the list of books below.

Below you will find the supply list.
We have limited storage in the classroom and the students' desks so
please bring only a few of the pencils and 1 glue stick to begin. You may replenish them as needed through the school year. It is helpful to have a place to keep extra items at home until they're needed at school.
1 pack of stick on notes (post-its), 3" x 3", 100 sheets/pad (replenish as needed)
4 extra-large or jumbo book socks unless you prefer covering your textbooks with paper
1-subject college ruled spiral notebooks labeled for each of the following subjects: Math, Science, Social Studies, Daily Journal, Italian
6 marbled composition notebooks (100 sheets), labeled with their name for the following subjects: Label two for Reading, two for Writing and two for Homework Assignments
5 solid color two pocket folders labeled with their name
1 two pocket folder labeled Italian
1 book/novel to read independently
1 supply box with name on it (small enough to fit in desk)
2 packs of erasers, pencil cap, 12 /Pk (Send in a few at a time; replenish as needed)
pencil sharpener with cover
2 RED pens (Please no colored pens other than RED)
2 Black pens
1 small dry erase board (approximately 9” x12”)
1 pack Expo dry erase markers, chisel tip, primary colors, low odor, 4/Pk
1 pack Expo dry erase markers, fine tip, primary colors, low odor, 4/Pk
1 whiteboard eraser or a clean, dark sock (to erase)
1 small bottle of white school glue
3 glue sticks (Send in one at a time; replenish as needed)
1 ruler with inches and centimeters
1 box of sharpened number 2 pencils (replenish as needed)
1 pack highlighters, chisel tip, 1 blue, 1 pink, 1 yellow
1 pack of 100 white, ruled 3×5 index cards
1 container of disinfecting wipes
2 rolls of paper towels (bring one for now and we'll ask for the other later in the year)
5 pocket packs of tissues for personal use- bring one to begin and replenish as needed
1 bottle of hand soap (replenish as needed)
1 bottle of hand sanitizer (replenish as needed)
