ShariLynn Pitifer-Minetti is the Music/Performing Arts teacher here at St. Peter's Academy. She has a BFA in Theater Arts from Ithaca College in New York State and has continued her education in the performing arts and education at various studios and schools in New York City as well as St. Peter’s University here in NJ where she earned her Masters in Education.
She is a professional singer-songwriter who continues to perform, write and record professionally while teaching. She has taught in NYC public schools as an artist in residence as well as several performing arts schools in the NYC and Northern NJ area. She comes to us from St. Joseph's Academy in Bogota as well as The Academy of St. Therese in Cresskill and St. John The Evangelist in Leonia. She performs weekly with her band, Panorama Music (when there isn't a pandemic). She is the Youth Music Minister/leader of the Folk Group at St. Therese Church which is a group of teenagers from grades 7 through 12 that sing and play weekly at the 9:30 Mass (when there isn't a pandemic). Since March of 2020 she and her husband have been providing the music for all Masses at St. Therese Church in Cresskill until the choirs are able to return.
